A display of hundreds of pictures, documents, promotional materials, and student work from 1939 to today will be coming soon to the third floor of Maxwell Hall. The LIM College Archives contain tens of thousands of these historical items from our history. If you're interested in seeing some of the original items, you can make an appointment with the college archivist. Have you seen the very 1990's dress made entirely from LIM Brochures? How about the application from 1939? Ever seen a diploma older than your grandmother? When did LIM stop asking for height and weight on the application? Curious to know what Adrian Marcuse looked like as a young man (the Library on the second floor of Maxwell is named after him)? Want to see Maxwell Marcuse's driver license? We encourage you to stop by the display once it's mounted, within the next month or so, and spend some time examining items from LIM's history. The history of LIM is part of the bigger histories of fashion and business and New York City. Also, the history and legacy of LIM are now part of your history and legacy. Your journey begins here at LIM, but who can say where it will lead. Take a good look at some of the famous faces on this display, because you never know, you might just see yourself right up there in LIM's future.
