Welcome Back, LIM College Students!

Gonzalez, C. (2014, February 17). NY Fashion Week Hot Spots [News article]. Retrieved from http://stagebuddy.com/events/ny-fashion-week-hot-spots/

I know this summer has been a scorcher, but who’s ready for New York Fashion Week? I know that I can’t wait to prance around in my new Miu Miu booties around Lincoln Center.

However, this isn’t about me, today. This special post goes out to all of our newcomers at LIM College. Here’s a warm welcome:

“People who eat white bread have no dreams”.
- Diana Vreeland

With that being said I recommend that the incoming freshman and transfer students get a head start on some volunteer activities whether in a showroom or as a dresser during New York Fashion Week. These volunteer activities can be found through LIM College’s Simplicity webpage. These experiences can help mold you for your future internships, remember Condé Nast is no longer taking anymore interns.

Keep in mind to stay on top of your grades this semester! Feel free to utilize the school's ever expanding Adrian G. Marcuse Library. The Library provides quiet study rooms to shut out background noise as well as textbooks that you can utilize within the Library. They also have a broad range of magazines to keep up on the current trends. See you around...
