Inspiration from Hidden Gems

Inspiration can come from almost anywhere. Many of the books in the Library’s collection are used almost every day by a student, faculty or staff member to inspire them on their upcoming project. Everyone has their favorite go-to title, but there are always a few hidden gems that get overlooked as the patron doesn’t know to look for them. There are a few titles that come to mind that were published by Taschen during the early to mid-2000s.

Inside Africa is a two-volume title that provides spectacular photos of architecture, wildlife and landscapes from around the continent. The title features photographs and information on 22 countries in Africa.

Inside Asia is a two-volume title that provides you with photographs and information of interiors and exteriors from around Asia featuring 16 different countries. The colors and geometric patterns shown throughout the book guarantee inspiration from unlikely sources.

Inside Cuba is a one-volume title that is divided by Havana and Cuba. The photographs and information cover a range of topics including architecture, tile work, artwork, and landscapes.

All three titles will guarantee inspiration from color to texture. Please stop by the library today to view these titles.
